ABOUT THE PRINT
The prints use pigmented inks for longevity on fine art 100% cotton photo rag paper and have a satin protective laminate for non-glare protection. The prints are mounted on a light weight 3/16" black Gatorfoam backing with a recessed back frame to facilitate easy hanging.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER TERRY ALLEN
Years ago, I was complaining about my camera technique and the inconsistent quality of various photographs I had taken on a trip with my wife. This was usually how our holidays ended…me looking at the photographs and wondering what had gone wrong. Finally, my wife had had enough. I was told in no uncertain terms to take classes in photography or get rid of my camera. The camera won and I started taking classes at Palomar Junior College in San Marcos, California and San Diego City College. I currently use digital and film cameras, including large and medium format and sometimes venture off into alternative photography formats such as cyanotype and Van Dyke. I have work shown in various venues including The Front Porch Gallery, Carlsbad, CA; The Oceanside Museum of Art, Oceanside, CA; The Photographer’s Eye, Escondido, CA; The Herbert B. Turner Gallery, Del Mar, CA; The Off-Track Gallery, Encinitas, CA and; The Ashton Gallery, San Diego, CA.
